Replace the default pointer with any layer (or group of layers) and have it follow the mouse—great for bespoke cursors, labels, or “follow me” graphics. You can also apply MouseTrap to a parent Group so all child layers move together.

Flexible triggers (“Use” modes)

Choose how the effect activates: Pointer is over Slider, Pointer is over this Layer (for in-place tilt/scale/opacity), Pointer is over other Layer (via sensor layers), or On Events (start/stop via layer actions).

Sensor areas & targeting

Define one or multiple Layer Sensor regions to precisely control where mouse-follow is active.

Positioning controls

Align the layer relative to the cursor with Pointer Origin X/Y or one-click Center Origin—perfect for centering icons or tooltips on the pointer.

Movement limits & axis locks

Hide the native pointer, restrict movement to X or Y, and set a Move Radius to cap how far the layer can travel from its start point.

Follow dynamics & easing

Add a trailing feel with Speed (ms) and refine motion with Easing for smooth, high-polish interactions.

Custom motion reactions

Use Custom Animations to make the layer rotate, scale, or fade based on cursor direction or distance—alone or while following the mouse.

Revert behavior

Auto-return the layer to its original position when the trigger ends, with adjustable Speed and Easing.
